The only stand-alone restaurant on the island is the Hungry Iguana, located near the airport. The seaside eatery, named for an iguana often seen at the airport, sports a 40-foot mural of its namesake. Continental buffet breakfasts start the day; lunch and dinner feature jerk chicken, grouper sandwiches, prime rib, and burgers.

Resort Restaurants

A surprising number of resorts also feature top-notch dining. Pirates Point (345-948-1010) showcases the talents of Cordon Bleu owner-chef Gladys Howard and serves up gourmet cuisine; the Southern Cross Club (800-899-2582) features spectacular dining.
