Seven Mile Beach Dive
& Snorkel Sites

Seven Mile Beach has several good dive sites,
although many boats head out from here with divers for sites in George
Town or other areas of the island.
The Aquarium
With a name like The Aquarium, this 30- to 50- foot dive has to be good.
Look for a wide variety of fish on this dive off the upper end of Seven
Mile Beach. Goatfish, snapper, parrotfish, and more await on this beginner-level
dive.
Royal Palms Ledge
This site, just offshore from the Marriott, goes to a depth of about 50
feet. There's a tunnel that's a favorite with divers.
Wreck of the Oro Verde
About half a mile off the beach at the site of the Ritz Carlton, the Oro
Verde is a favorite wreck for beginner divers because of its shallow position
(25 to 50 feet). The ship was used by drug smugglers and in 1980 was scuttled.
Today the gold lies in its rich marine life; the high that divers get
from the myriad colors is a completely legal one.
