Grand Cayman Bus Service Grand Cayman launched its first public transportation
service in 1998, a response to the increasing traffic found along Seven
Mile Beach. Today a bus terminal on Edward Street (near the public library)
in downtown George Town serves as the hub for 38 mini-buses. Fares range
from CI $1.50 to CI $2. Eight routes serve the island and include service to West Bay (the most frequent service, running every 15 minutes), Bodden Town (every 30 minutes), East End and North Side (once an hour). A bus also serves stops within George Town. Look for blue license plates on these buses. Color codes displayed at both the front and rear of the bus differentiate routes. For questions and schedules, 345-945-5100. |
