Bicycle and Scooter Rentals
in Cayman
With its relatively flat grade, the Cayman Islands are a good destination for bicyclists as well as scooter riders. On Grand Cayman, however, note that along West Bay Road traffic can be extremely heavy during morning and evening rush hours. Bicycle rental Prices vary, but average about $15 per day (and expect to put down a $100 deposit.) You'll find that many hotels offer bicycle rental; if yours doesn't, check with Cayman Cycle Rentals at Coconut Place (345/945-4021) or at Treasure island Resort (345/949-7777). Scooter rental Scooters are a faster (and scarier) way to buzz around the island. Scooters cost about $40 per day (which generally includes your license fee) and carry with them a heftier deposit. You'll be required to wear a helmet when riding a scooter. Once again, check with your hotel for rentals; if you don't find them, call Cayman Cycle Rentals at Coconut Place (345/945-4021) or at Treasure island Resort (345/949-7777) as well as Island Scooter Rental (345/949-2046) on North Sound Road.
